Quickly: When you think of a beer, what container does it come in? A can? A bottle? If I were to place a card in front of you demanding a drawing of such a container, as I did Laurea (who drew this in 8 seconds), would you not draw a frosty mug like this? She’s not much of a beer drinker, but there’s something in the collective beer unconscious that just insists on a mug.
Initially, I admonished her for drawing in the shadows along the ridged side of the glass, but I now understand that the Fastest Possible Beer does not only come in a frosty mug; it also comes with the gravitas that those shadows provide. Eight seconds seems like a good, fast beer to me, and those shadows make it somehow beerier. To me, at least.
